KDC Solar has completed construction of a new 6.1MW solar project at the Lawrenceville School campus in New Jersey, US.
The project employs 24,934 solar panels manufactured by SolarWorld which have been mounted on single-axis trackers.

TurtleEnergy developed the photovoltaic system which was acquired by KDC Solar last year.
KDC Solar owns and maintains all of the solar equipment of the ground-mounted power system located on 30 acres of school-owned farm land.

By GlobalDataLawrenceville School will purchase the electricity generated by the array over the next two decades, under the terms of the power purchase agreement.
The solar farm will produce about 9,264,000kWh of solar electricity annually to meet the power needs of 800 homes in the region.
It will also displace 6,388 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
The project is expected to produce enough electricity to offset 90% of the high school’s annual power needs.
