UK health and beauty retailers Boots and the No7 Beauty Company have partnered with Manufacture 2030 to reduce supply chain emissions.
As the first health and beauty retailers to join the platform, Boots and No7 will be provided with a comprehensive suite of tools, expert knowledge and funding opportunities to support their decarbonisation journeys and improve operational efficiency.
The companies’ suppliers will gain access to a global network of carbon experts, best practice guidelines and green finance whilst receiving actionable insights to identify cost-saving measures.
Boots UK chief customer and commercial officer Steve Ager said: “As part of our commitment to the British Retail Consortium Action Roadmap, we are working to collectively achieve net zero by 2040. We can only do this by working together with all parts of our supply chain.”
Manufacture 2030 CEO Martin Chilcott added: “These essential tools and resources will assist suppliers in pinpointing areas for improvement and implementing effective measures to reduce emissions, ensuring their efforts align with Boots’ sustainability targets.”
No7 operated as a brand owned by the Walgreen Boots Alliance until it was launched as a separate company in 2021.
Boots was recently announced as the largest provider of cruelty-free beauty products in the UK, showcasing responsible and ethical sourcing in its supply chain.
