Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) is set to supply 98 SWT-2.3-108 wind turbines for an undisclosed wind project located in Kansas, US.

Together, the wind turbines have a total capacity of 225MW.

Covering more than 40,000 acres of land, the wind farm is capable of supplying enough energy for nearly 73,000 average homes in the US.

Siemens Gamesa’s blade manufacturing facility located in Fort Madison, Iowa, will supply blades for the project.

The nacelles and hubs will be assembled at the company’s nearby facility in Hutchinson, Kansas.

Deliveries for the project are expected to begin in the middle of this year, with completion slated for the end.
