Siemens Gamesa has won a new order for the supply of 36 MW in Bosnia and Herzegovina from F.L. Wind, an independent power producer (IPP).

This is Siemens’ second project in the country and tenth in the Western Balkans region.

Under the agreement, the company will be responsible for delivery and installation of 18 turbines of G97-2.0 MW at the Jelovaca wind farm, which is located in the northern part of the country.

Besides installing the turbines, Siemens Gamesa will  operate and maintain the wind farm for five years.

This wind farm is set to come online by the end of this year.

Siemens Gamesa forayed into Western Balkans seven years ago. Over these years, the firm has secured orders in Croatia, Republic of Macedonia and Bosnia & Herzegovina for the supply of 116 wind turbines with total capacity of over 285MW.
