US-based residential solar finance firm Clean Power Finance (CPF) has selected Itron’s solar monitoring solution for residential solar installations throughout North America.

Under the terms of the agreement, Itron’s solar monitoring solution will be used by CPF to monitor and sub metre the electricity production of the residential solar systems.

The solution comprises Itron’s solar metre embedded with cellular communications and managed services for managing and monitoring solar power generation.

Itron solar monitoring solution has been designed for accurately monitoring the production of residential and commercial solar systems.

The solution is said to reduce installation time for CPF’s channel partners and improve the data collection process, while lowering costs and enhancing the operational efficiency for the entire system.

Itron had started supplying its solar metres to CPF partners in December 2013 for implementation all over North America.
