Malaysia-based Comtec Solar International has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sunway PFM to jointly collaborate on the development of a solar battery system.
The partnership will focus on the research and development (R&D) and explore the application of the solar battery system for both residential and commercial purposes.
As per the terms of the MoU, Sunway will be responsible to facilitate the final product evaluation and assessment for quality testing and improvement.
In addition, the company will render necessary support and resource towards applying, testing, and receiving necessary certifications, and accreditations for the project’s success.
Sunway has an option to jointly apply with Comtec Malaysia to secure financial grants from the public sector that will aid in the development of the solar battery system.
Furthermore, Comtec Malaysia will be responsible for providing the necessary technology, facilities, personnel, training, processes, know-how, diagrams, documentation, policies and procedures, apparatus and equipment, including the R&D required for the project.
Comtec Malaysia will also manage all aspects of the project and provide support to meet the objectives contemplated under the MoU among other assistance.
The objectives under the MoU is subject to availability of funds, proper approval from the board of directors of both parties and further written and legally binding specific project agreements in relation to the activities concerned to be implemented on a project by project basis.
