Envision Energy has signed a turbine supply agreement with Vietnam’s PC1 Group for the Libmanan Wind Power Project in Camarines Sur, the Philippines.
The contract includes the provision of 58.5MW wind turbine generators by Envision Energy.
Aboitiz Power is developing the project, which is set to begin commercial operations by the end of 2026.
The Libmanan wind project contributes to the Philippines’ Green Energy Auction Program 2 (GEAP 2), aiming to increase renewable energy to 35% of the country’s power mix by 2030.
In a press release, Envision said its turbines are recognised for their efficiency and suitability for tropical climates, aligning with the nation’s decarbonisation goals.
The initiative is also anticipated to generate employment and stimulate economic progress in Camarines Sur.
