Canadian Solar has secured three solar photovoltaic (PV) projects, totaling 364 MWp in Brazil.

The 364 MWp of projects were secured at A-4 auction held on 4 April.

These projects, which are located in the states of Minas Gerais and Ceara, have been awarded 20-year power purchase agreements with an average price of around $35.58/MWh.

The facilities, on being linked to the grid, will annually produce around 706,056 MWh of power.

Canadian Solar will build the projects, with plans to bring them to commercial operation by 2022.

Canadian Solar CEO and chairman Dr. Shawn Qu said: “We are proud to be the only company that has been successful in winning projects in all of the five Federal Auctions held to date in Brazil.
