Adapture Renewables has purchased a hybrid 110MW solar and 110MW battery energy storage project in Colorado, US, from Samsung C&T Renewables.
The financial details of the transaction have not been revealed by either company.
As Adapture Renewables’ inaugural project, the acquisition of this system strategically establishes the company in the western region and marks a notable expansion of its hybrid facility portfolio.
The company is also committed to open communication and collaboration with the local community and stakeholders, ensuring regular updates on its development.
The Haynach solar project is anticipated to begin operations by 2029 and is strategically placed to address the varied energy requirements of Colorado’s increasing demand.
Adapture Renewables noted that the state is also dedicated to reaching 100% clean electricity generation by 2040.
Adapture Renewables’ mergers and acquisitions vice-president Christina Conrad said: “This acquisition is an important step for Adapture Renewables as we expand into the Colorado market.
“The Haynach project fits seamlessly into our long-term growth strategy of entering new markets and integrating additional battery storage projects. We are excited to bring this project to fruition and contribute to the region’s renewable energy capacity.”
Headquartered in Oakland, California, Adapture Renewables is a developer, owner, and operator of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects.
