ACME and solar power firm Azure had made their bids for the highest capacity – of 600MW, reported Economic Times.

Last month, the company secured 50MW solar power project at Gujrai solar park, Uttar Pradesh at an auction held by SECI.

It secured this contract through an auction. SECI had sought solar tenders with total capacity of 275MW to be undertaken at several solar parks in the state.

ACME won the bid at a tariff of Rs 3.38 per unit.

The 50MW Gujrai solar park is located in Kanpur district of north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

This project is considered to be tough due to soil condition, high wind speed, and lower global horizontal irradiance, reported Times of India.

With this win, the firm has 30MW operational project in the state. ACME had last month stated it would sign a 25 year power purchase agreement with SECI, which will in turn sell power to the state utilities.

ACME is looking to achieve its boost its capacity to 7,500MW by 2022.
