Description

The project was developed by Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy Power Company Ltd (PNPC). SK Ecoplant, Korea Western Power, RATCH Group and Lao Holding State Enterprise are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 26%, 25%, 25% and 24% respectively.

Xe-Pian Xe-Namnoy is a reservoir based project. The hydro reservoir capacity is 1,043 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project is 600m. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 1 in number. The penstock length is 768m. The penstock diameter is 3.6m. The project generated 1,879 GWh of electricity.
