Description

The project was developed by Parque Eolico Tucano, SoWiTec do Brasil Energias Alternativas and Tucano F8 Geracao de Energias. Unipar Carbocloro, The AES, Others, Centrais Eletricas Brasileiras and BNDES Participacoes are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 50%, 23.82%, 19.42%, 3.39% and 3.37% respectively.

The Tubular Steel towers installed at the project site are 115m high.

The project is currently active. The project construction commenced in 2021 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in January 2023.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Anglo American under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years, starting from 2022.

Contractors involved

Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 8 units of SG 5.8-170 turbines, each with 6.2MW nameplate capacity.
