Description

The project was developed by Kyuden Mirai Energy and Marubeni. Kyudenko, ORIX and Kyuden Mirai Energy are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 40%, 30% and 10% respectively.

Renatosu Soma Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 684,000 square meters.

The project generates 60,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 16,660 households.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2015 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in June 2017.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tohoku Electric Power under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors involved

Kyudenko was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Hanwha Q Cells Japan was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 197,932 modules at the site.

The inverters were procured from Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems for the project.

Kyuden Mirai Energy and Kyudenko were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
