Description

JERA Power (Thailand), PTT Public, RATCH Group, Ratchaburi Alliances, Saha-Union Public and Toyota Tsusho are currently owning the project.

It is a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from Yadana and Yetagun Field.

Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant Block I) consists of 1 steam turbine with 261MW nameplate capacity.

Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II) consists of 1 steam turbine with 257MW nameplate capacity.

Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant (Ratchaburi Combined Cycle Power Plant Block III) consists of 1 steam turbine with 253MW nameplate capacity.

Development status

The project got commissioned in April 2002.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years.
