The project was developed by Solar Star California XV and is currently owned by Metlife Capital Limited Partnership with a stake of 100%.

NAWS China Lake Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 118 acres.

The project generates 20,061.47MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 2,976 households.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2012.

Contractors involved

Bechtel was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

SunPower was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 31,680 modules each with 425W of nameplate capacity.

The inverters were procured from SunPower for the project.

The project is utilising single axis trackers supplied by SunPower.

SunPower is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
