Description

The project was developed by Efacec Power Solutions SGPS, Electricidade De Mozambique EP and Neoen. Neoen and Electricidade De Mozambique EP are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 75% and 25% respectively.

Metoro Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 138 hectares.

The project generates 68GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 175,000 households, offsetting 49,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

The project consists of 121,500 modules.

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in April 2022.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Electricidade De Mozambique EP under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years.

Efacec Power Solutions SGPS was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

Efacec Power Solutions SGPS is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project, commencing from the year 2022.
