Description
The project is currently owned by Enefit Green.
The project generates 134GWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 50,000 households, offsetting 540,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Refuse which is a kind of municipal solid waste is used as a feedstock to power the project.

MAN Energy Solutions was selected as the steam turbine supplier for the project.
Constructions Industrielles de la Mediterranee supplied steam boiler for the project. The temperature witnessed inside the boiler is around 402Degree Celsius. The steam is pressurized inside the boiler at 40bar.
