Description

The project was developed by Intersect Power and IP Aragorn. The project is currently owned by SB Energy Holdings with a stake of 100%.

Aragorn Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 1,700 acres.

The project generates 575,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 55,000 households.

Development status

The project construction commenced in 2019 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in December 2021.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Austin Energy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years from 2021. The contracted capacity is 180MW.

Contractors involved

Signal Energy Constructors was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

First Solar was selected as the supplier of PV modules for the project.

The project is utilising trackers supplied by NEXTracker.
