The Nordex Group has launched the new turbine, N133/4.8, for strong-wind sites, extending its Delta4000 product series introduced last year.
The company integrated the rotor blade from the N131 turbine into the Delta4000 series for the new N133/4.8.
By combining the rotor blade with the hub and nacelle of the N149/4.0-4.5, also from the Delta4000 product series, the rotor diameter was increased to 133m.
The company has also raised the maximum output to 4.8 MW to make optimal use of high wind speeds, which resulted in an additional yield of up to 39% for the N133/4.8.
The technical innovations such as an improved service concept, a mobile crane solution and an efficient electrical system embodied in the N149/4.0-4.5, the Delta4000 series’ first turbine, are also integral to the new turbine.
It is equipped with serrations and its sound level is limited to just 106 dB(A) when under full power.
