Oman-based Rural Areas Electricity Company (RAECo) has selected CESI Middle East to provide consultancy services, oversee the construction and implementation of renewable resource projects across the country.
Currently located in Dhofar and Al Wusta Governorates, the projects will have their final location decided through feasibility studies.
Under the deal, CESI will conduct an array of trainings to enhance staff capabilities to perform the implementation activities and to deal with any renewable energy technology matters.
Additionally, the company will provide full technical and economic feasibility studies for each project, and assist RAECo in the tendering phase and in the evaluation of bids.
CESI will also provide RAECo with the expertise to implement renewable energy systems across the different projects, in-turn saving manpower, spare parts and most importantly, reducing the consumption of diesel fuel.
Drawing upon a new internal renewable energy strategy and policy developed by CESI, RAECo is expected to increase the capacity at its renewable energy plants.
