ZETWERK Manufacturing Businesses has secured a 1.5GW solar module order from India’s power generation company National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).

The 1.5GW order represents a fourfold increase over its previous order from NTPC Renewables in 2023.

Under the contract, ZETWERK will be responsible for manufacturing and delivering ALMM-compliant, ‘Made in India’ solar photovoltaic modules, including mandatory spares, for the 1.2GW Khavda Solar project in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

ZETWERK will deliver this order within seven months, strengthening ZETWERK’s standing as a reliable partner in India’s renewable energy sector.

ZETWERK co-founder Srinath Ramakkrushnan said: “We are thrilled to secure this ambitious solar project with NTPC.

“This second order is a testament to our commitment to delivering innovative, sustainable, high-quality solar solutions that contribute to India’s energy transition and promote domestic manufacturing.”
