The project is being developed by Doral Renewables. Doral USA, Clean Air Generation and Migdal Insurance are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 41.78%, 38.22% and 20% respectively.

Goonies Solar Power Project is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 1,100 acres.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 23,000 households.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2024. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by December 2025.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project will be sold to American Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 170MW.
