Description

The project was developed by Oriana Energy and Yarotek. The project is co-owned by Sonnedix and Yarotek, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

Oriana Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 200 acres.

The project generates 125,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 12,000 households, offsetting 77,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year.

Development status

The project got commissioned in December 2016.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to The Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 45MW.

Contractors involved

Metka EGN was selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the solar PV power project.

JinkoSolar (U.S.) Holding was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 183,000 modules at the site.

Solar inverters for the project were procured from GPTech Spain and Schneider Electric.

The project is utilising trackers supplied by Grupo Clavijo.

Metka EGN is the O&M contractor for the solar PV power project.
