Description
The project was developed by JAKS Hai Duong Power. China Power Engineering Consulting Group and JAKS Resources are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 70% and 30% respectively.
It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from Vietnam National Coal Mineral Industries Group (Vinacomin).
The project generated 7,800,000MWh of electricity.
Development status
The project construction commenced in 2016 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in November 2020.
Power purchase agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Vietnam Electricity under a power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. The contracted capacity is 1,200MW.
Contractors involved
China Power Engineering Consulting Group, Golden Keen Holdings and Southwest Electric Power Design Institute were selected to render engineering procurement construction services for the coal fired power project.
