The project is being developed by Biffa and Covanta Holding. The project is currently owned by Biffa with a stake of 50%, Covanta Holding and Green Investment Group.

The power generated from the project will be sold to SmartestEnergy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 15 years. The offtake capacity is expected to be 42MW.

Hitachi Zosen Inova is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.

Doosan Skoda Power will be the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company is expected to provide 1 turbine with 42MW nameplate capacity.

Covanta Holding is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the project. The operation and maintenance contract tenure will likely be commencing from 2023, for a period of 20 years.
