Description
The project is being developed by Aichi Tahara Biomass Power Plant GK. JAG Energy, Marubeni and Osaka Gas are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 37.5%, 37.5% and 25% respectively.
Wood pellets which is a kind of wood by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.
Development status
The project construction is expected to commence from 2023. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by October 2024.

JGC Holdings is expected to render engineering procurement construction services for the biopower project.
Sumitomo Heavy Industries is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project.
